Michigan is known for its craft beer, and you will find lots of great places to explore. Additionally, the unique microclimate here enables farmers to grow grapes and fruit, usually associated with warmer climates. Give some of these great places a try.

Allegan County is home to many wonderful family farms. From April - October, many of them open their farms to visitors. Visit these wonderful places and reconnect to our agrarian roots.

PK's Lighthouse Cafe, South Haven. Everything you could need! Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (check website for most up to date hours); plus desserts, coffee, treats and much more. Their food is all homemade and delicious. Just off of Blue Star, its well worth the drive. PK's Lighthouse Cafe.

American Legion, South Haven. Not a normal restaurant suggestion, but they serve breakfast on Sunday's, April - October. Great when you have to get back home, but don't want to mess with the kitchen. Plus you get to meet some local heroes! American Legion Post #49

AirZoo, Kalamazoo. Take a day and spend it at the Air Zoo. An air museum located next to the airport in Kalamazoo. They also feature rides and simulators. Saugatuck Dunes and Felt Mansion, Saugatuck. The dunes provide a gentle hike that ends on the shores of Lake Michigan. Also, the Felt Mansion hosts tours, concerts and events. Saugatuck Dunes & Felt Mansion
Pier Cove, Fennville. A great little beach. We loved it when our kids were little because of the creek that flows out. It creates a safe beach experience for young ones. Rosy Mound, Grand Haven. Another great place to hike. It's not as gentle as Saugatuck Dunes (it has more stairs) but its well worth the hike.
